Mawlid Nabi

Some muslims believe it is the date when the Prophet Muhammad pbuh. was born. Many muslims also celebrate this occassion by remembering the live of the last prophet and his teachings.

Isra' Mi'raj

(27 Rajab 1432 H) - 29 June 2011
This is the date when Prophet Muhammad pbuh. made the miraculous night journey, from Makkah to Jerusalem and then continued by ascending to the seventh heaven to receive Allah's command regarding daily obligatory prayers. The Prohet of islam is accompanied by the angel Jibril and was riding the Buraq.

Ramadan

This is the most special month in Islamic tradition in which Muslims fast for the whole month. Muslims use to do more ibadah during this month to get closer to the almighty Allah.

Eid ul Fitr

As Ramadan finishes, it is time for celebration and to glorify Allah. This is a festival of joy, where gifts are exchanged, family and friends get together, and Muslims forgive each other.

Eid ul Adha

(10 Dzulhijjah 1432 H) - 6 November 2011
Also known as Eid of Sacrifice, this marks the end of hajj (pilgrimage) and commemorates the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim.

Islamic New Year

This is the day when muslims are encouraged to fast. It is believed that on the 10th of Muharram Allah saved Prophets Nuh from the great deluge, Moses from the Pharaoh, Abraham from the fire, and Yesus from the Roman.
